My name means "a path used by animals" in my language, Lozi. My mother tells a story about hunting for mushrooms in the bush one day when she was pregnant with me. A narrow path through the forest lead to a little spring of fresh water where a motherwarthog was drinking with her two young ones. My mother backed away, very respectful of the warthog mother's long and sharp tusks, but the warthog told her not to hurry away, but to pick the large mushrooms nearby. when I was born three months later, she named me Mulenga, remembering her magical encounter.

Hi, I'm Mulenga (14")
