A computer for Isaac

The AACDP has sponsored Isaac Oppong's education since 2021, when he began a two year program in building technology at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. He recently graduated and went on to another two year program in Construction Technology and Management (CTM). He has long needed a computer powerful enough to handle AutoCAD, a sophisticated application for creating precise 2D and 3D drawings, essential to both the architectural and engineering sides of the construction industry.

In Isaac's own words:

“CTM is a broad program which covers many aspects of the construction industry, from the foundation to the completion of the project. I love being at the construction site and my goal is to become site supervisor for a construction company. This year I became quite good at using AutoCAD. I plan to tutor other students until I find work. If I succeed, I will be able to help my parents, as they have helped me in my life."

With funds provided mostly by a young man who is himself a structural engineer, we were able to get Isaac a state of the art laptop that will enable him to fully participate in this phase of his education. Big thanks!
