We are so excited to have our website up and running! Our online SHOP has a great selection of Zambezi Dolls, and now is a perfect time to purchase this unique item for someone special. Featuring five skin tones representing the diverse peoples of the world, these dolls are hand crafted by mothers of children with disabilities at the Mama Bakhita Cheshire Home in Livingstone, Zambia. Each doll is made entirely of natural fiber; the skin is 100% cotton jersey, the hair is 100% wool and the clothing is made from traditional cotton chitenge cloth. Zambezi dolls are soft and huggable, good for the environment and good for the heart. Stylish or funny, dark or light, Zambezi Dolls are perfect friends for children of any age.
Zambezi Dolls are very collectible, and make great Christmas gifts and birthday gifts. You can purchase Zambezi Dolls at our web shop, and also in person on Martha's Vineyard at Capawock Theatre, Main St., Vineyard Haven.
Profits from the sales of Zambezi Dolls go directly back to the Mama Bakhita community. The Zambezi Dollmakers are rightfully proud of their product and of the help they are providing for their families and neighbors. Click the video below to see and hear them joyously at work.
